Namesake have now released their debut album, Borders & Fences, available on iTunes. Fans can stream the entire album now on AOL Music, which features the current single “Worlds Away” as well as tracks “Saturday” and “The Movement.” Watch the official video for “Worlds Away” now on YouTube.

The quintet comes out swinging on their debut album, and they bring a flurry of pummeling rhythms, clench-fisted chords and meaty hooks that connect with each listen as they deliver fast and catchy punk power pop harmonies. Big Smile Magazine says Namesake “redefines the punk pop genre with a modern edge”, while The Examiner calls them “a band that will be heard for years to come.” Borders & Fences was recorded in Orlando, FL with famed gold record producer James Paul Wisner (New Found Glory, Dashboard Confessional, Paramore).

Namesake is currently on tour with Allstar Weekend and Honor Society. For tour dates and updates from the band, be sure to check out their official Facebook and Twitter pages. Make sure to pick up a copy of Borders & Fences out now!

Greetings. This is D. Randall Blythe, checking in from my beloved hometown of Richmond, VA, United States of America. I was recently released on bail from Pankrác Prison in Prague, Czech Republic, after over a month of incarceration. Now that I am out for the moment, I would like to say a few things.

1. While in prison, I had minimal knowledge of how my case was viewed anywhere but the Czech Republic. I was told by my attorney that I had a lot support from peers in the music industry, my hometown, fans, and of course my family.  I cannot express how emotional it made me upon my release to read about even a fraction of the voices that were raised on my behalf. From legends in my music community, to fans across the world, and even people who were previously unaware of my existence but sympathized with my plight- I am truly humbled.  I cannot thank you enough for your thoughts and prayers. I would especially like to thank the people of Richmond, VA, for standing by me. In the 48 hours I have been home, many people I have never met before have stopped me on the street, waved and smiled as I passed by, or said hello in a restaurant. All have said “We are glad you are home, Randy”. You all make me proud and grateful that I call Richmond home.

2. I would like state that I suffered no abuse, from either authorities or inmates, during my incarceration in Pankrác. I received no special treatment, and was in general population with everyone else- make no mistake, it was prison, not some celebrity rehab tv show. But I was treated fairly by the guards and kindly by my fellow inmates. People are dying of starvation all over the world. Men and women are losing their lives daily in the Middle East and other war torn regions. I had food, clothes, shelter, and no one was trying to kill me. I cannot complain over a short stay in prison while many people elsewhere fight to survive on a daily basis.

3. If it is deemed necessary for me to do so, I WILL return to Prague to stand trial. While I maintain my innocence 100%, and will do so steadfastly, I will NOT hide in the United States, safe from extradition and possible prosecution. As I write this, the family of a fan of my band suffers through the indescribably tragic loss of their child. They have to deal with constantly varying media reports about the circumstances surrounding his death. I am charged with maliciously causing severe bodily harm to this young man, resulting in his death. While I consider the charge leveled against me ludicrous and without qualification, my opinion makes no difference in this matter. The charge exists, and for the family of this young man, questions remain. The worst possible pain remains. It is fairly common knowledge amongst fans of my band that I once lost a child as well. I, unfortunately, am intimately familiar with what their pain is like. Therefore, I know all too well that in their time of grief, this family needs and deserves some real answers, not a media explosion followed by the accused killer of their son hiding like a coward thousands of miles away while they suffer. I am a man. I was raised to face my problems head on, not run from them like a petulant child. I hope that justice is done, and the family of Daniel N. will receive the closure they undoubtedly need to facilitate healing. I feel VERY STRONGLY that as an adult, it would be both irresponsible and immoral for me not to return to Prague if I am summoned. This is not about bail money. This is about a young man who lost his life. I will act with honor, and I will fight to clear my good name in this matter. Thank you for reading this, and I wish you all peace.

Kansas City pop rock act The After Party will hit the road with Hollywood Ending starting August 21. Special guests on the run include Sandlot Heroes and Almost Hero.  The band will be playing songs off the band’s latest release Kansas.

Formed in early 2010, The After Party swept through the underground music scene and quickly gained notoriety for their refreshing blend of pop, rock and something that listeners can’t quite put their fingers on. This versatile quartet traces its roots back to a small town in Kansas; a humble beginning for a band that has impacted so many lives worldwide through not only music, but also a personal connection with fans. The group’s debut EP, entitled “All The Wrong Places,” struck a chord with the music community and opened new opportunities such as increased radio time, a Hot Topic acoustic tour, and even an appearance on MTV television. It quickly became clear that The After Party is rarely in all the wrong places after all.

From there, The After Party recorded 2011’s Self-Titled sophomore EP with Zach Odom and Kenneth Mount. Singles such as ‘California’ and ‘Can’t Stop’ have captivated audiences and resonated with listeners all over the world. In the first quarter of 2012 The After Party hit the road again, embarking on several full U.S. and Canadian tours, supporting bands such as Allstar Weekend, Boyce Avenue, and Secondhand Serenade. The EP and the band’s passionate live performances showcased the group’s maturity and set the bar high for what was to come next.

After spending months on the road, the band returned to the studio to record their follow up EP, ‘Kansas’ released on July 10, 2012. New singles such as ‘She’s Gotta Boyfriend’ and ‘Here Comes The Rain’ are proof that The After Party has grown immensely as artists and have found the perfect combination of creativity and diversity in composing their own brand of timeless pop songs. The group’s charisma and vibrant musical style have brought their work to the foreground of the music industry. Through their dedication and devotion to the art of creating sound, these four young musicians are most definitely not in Kansas anymore.

Blaqk Audio is the electronic dance music outfit composed of Davey Havok and Jade Puget, originally from the multi-platinum rock juggernaut, AFI. The EDM industry has flourished around them since their 2007 release, CexCells, and it is now time for the endlessly talented duo to leave their own eternal imprint on the scene. Deriving inspiration from the electro-industrial waves of acts like Skinny Puppy and Depeche Mode as well as more modern artists like Knife Party, Porter Robinson, Bag Raiders, and Underworld, Havok and Puget create a complex, futuristic soundscape, marked with thumping, twinkling synth grinders, mid-tempo pop anthems, and dramatic wailing ballads.

Their upcoming sophomore album, Bright Black Heaven, is slated to be released September 11th on Big Death Records (Distributed by Superball Music). It is an expansion on CexCells derived from both experience and a furthering of it’s “hedonistic agenda,” but still has the familiar feel of Davey and Jade creating music together. With excellent mixing provided by Dave Bascombe (Depeche Mode and Erasure), Lars Stalfors (The Mars Volta), and Michael Patterson (Trent Reznor), this multifarious release will be marked by inspiration and experience. Maintaining a dark undercurrent below the glossy surface, Bright Black Heaven, remains true to the duo’s roots all the while toying with the listeners preconceived definition of electronic music.

Blaqk Audio has chosen to give their listeners a taste of Bright Black Heaven by releasing a free download of “Bliss,” the darkest track on the album, showcasing Havok’s haunting vocals alongside Jade’s powerful production, creating an industrial track laced with symphonic drama.

Having performed alongside electronic front-runners like Wolfgang Gartner, MSTRKRFT, Dada Life, and Underworld, the duo have often bridged the gap between rock and dance fans alike. As producer Jade Puget so eloquently put it:

“Balancing two bands is a complex task…one shines and the other simmers. Now it’s time for Blaqk Audio to shine.”
