SAINT DIABLO would like to take this time to announce that they will continue on with their current tour in support of their fans despite headliners Slaves on Dope being forced to drop off this week due to a family situation. The band will carry on performing music from their new self-titled album, released last month.

“It was as honor and a pleasure to work with such awesome metal vets as Slaves On Dope. I will never forget the experience,” states vocalist Tito Quinones. “Our hearts and prayers go out to them in their time of loss. Family is first and we wish them safe travels back home. A death in the family is never easy to deal with and we hope they all get to spend this time with their loved ones as we continue onward to perform at the remaining dates without Slaves. We hope that we can join forces with them again in the future, and until then we wish them all the best in the world.”

AOL’s Noisecreep.com recently unveiled the brand new music video for the band’s new single, ‘Watch Me Kill’, directed by David Brodsky for MYGOODEYE!  You can watch the video at this location. ‘Watch Me Kill’ is cut from the band’s new self-titled album, released with Eclipse Records on July 10th.

A message from the frontman:

This is massive news for Voice of the Soul and something that we have seen coming for a while, but we took time to make sure this would be a sound decision to make. After establishing the band in Kuwait in October of 2007, we will be relocating to Dubai, almost 5 years after the inception of Voice of the Soul. There was not a single event or reason that triggered this move…it was more of a buildup that eventually made this decision the best thing in our interest. For the first time in a long time, we’ve made a decision that is practically “zero-risk”. Long story short, none of us live in Kuwait anymore.

Monish and Khalid currently live in Dubai, and while I spend most of my time in Boston, my family has left Kuwait to another country in the region. With all our shows the past couple of years taking place in Dubai, it just seemed like a better idea overall. Things are not getting better in Kuwait for extreme metal, and none of us see it that way for a very long time. While we’ve been fitting in comfortably among various Dubai fans and supporters who we’ve gotten to know for the past couple of years, this is an exciting new start… Kuwait will always be a special place for us, especially for Monish and myself. We wouldn’t be who we are if it wasn’t for our experiences in Kuwait, both good and bad. Regardless of where you (the reader) is reading this from, I seriously encourage you to look into bands and artists in Kuwait, There is so much potential, and we wish them all the best! Keep supporting your local scene – regardless of the how bad the situation might be, be proud to represent what your hometown/city has to offer! Kuwait – we will be back – once we’re allowed to play shows again. Finally: A big thanks to everyone who’s been supporting us on this interesting journey! This is just the beginning!

North American dubstep pioneer DATSIK has announced further details of his FIREPOWER RECORDS Tour launching August 30 in Denver.  12 new dates—which will have him and his various special guests and FIREPOWER label mates, including DELTA HEAVY, TERRAVITA, BARE NOIZE, XKR, GETTER and AFK—on the momentous routing now include stops in Baltimore, Richmond, Raleigh, Gainesville, Minneapolis, Lubbock, Lincoln, Des Moines, Reno, Spokane, Boise and Missoula.

The FIREPOWER Tour will begin with the unveiling of the one-of-a-kind “Vortex” DJ performance booth with groundbreaking, real-time 3D-mapping technology that will push the evolution of custom visuals and mind-altering effects. The combination of DATSIK’s dark, dirty dubstep and V Squared Labs cutting-edge technology will be a marriage of mind-blowing sounds and visuals that cannot be missed.

Vello Virkhaus, VJ and Director of V Squared Labs, collaborated with DATSIK and his management team to create the initial vortex concept drawn by hand on a single sheet of paper. Together they molded the vortex idea into a full-fledged 3D-mapping experience combining a loose narrative with themes of space, optical art, machines, robots and firepower integrated into a digital drapery of stunning animation to dress, alter and ultimately bring the “Vortex” to life. The visuals will be delivered by V Squared Labsself-designed Epic Prime 3D-mapping video server.

The experience visual art content package is designed to be employed at the hands of a VJ who will create a unique experience for each performance. Using the Akai APC 40 and an apple iPad as control surfaces, VJ Jesse Nikette will perform live along with DATSIKVirkhaus “Vortex” will immerse DATSIK inside wild, audio-reactive visual art, while beaming light out towards the audience. It should evoke feelings of falling, inertia and dark psychedelia.

The FIREPOWER Tour is also amping up the audio experience with an additional 50,000 watts courtesy of Canada’s PK Sound, whose credits include Skrillex’s Mothership and Full Flex Tours, the X Tour with Excision and other live experiences with Bassnectar, Z-Trip, De La Soul and many more.  Together with the Vortex, the FIREPOWER Tour is coming out full guns blazing.

Heavy/Doom metal progenitors SAINT VITUS have announced an extensive US tour. Starting on September 14th in Little Rock, AK, the ScionAV–sponsored tour runs for five weeks ending in San Antonio, TX on October 19th.

Support will come from WEEDEATER and SOURVEIN. Additionally SAINT VITUS joins DOWN at the Best Buy Theater in New York City on September 28th.

A full list of tour dates can be found below.

Band founder and chief songwriter, Dave Chandler, comments: “We’re stoked to destroy America again, the last US SAINT VITUS headlining tour was in 1993. This time we’ll be playing Lillie as well as fan favorites and some old surprises. So leave your ear plugs at home and come bleed with us.”

The band is touring in support of their latest album ‘Lillie: F-65’. The album, their first in 17 years, reunites the unmistakable guitar playing of co-founder Dave Chandler with the deeply resonate vocals of hard rock legend Scott “Wino” Weinrich.

“ …the boys are on fire here, flush with renewed energy and basking in the glow of their newfound power.” - Pitchfork

“ This sick behemoth of a sound - and patented strangled-cat guitar solos - could only come from one band, and that’s a window into why Lillie: F-65 succeeds as a whole: the Saint Vitus Character remains intact, never fucked-up with modern contrivances. Doubtful that Sabbath’s own 2012 comeback will be even a faction this good.” - Decibel

“ …it’s clear that their chops have only increased in the intervening years, and they certainly haven’t lost their ability to bring dynamics to a slothful subgenre.” - Outburn

“…Vitus shows the enduring significance of their approach, and that what proved true about them in their initial run is no less true now: By not being of their era, they were and remain timeless. …Saint Vitus are more relevant now than they’ve ever been, and Lillie: F-65 shows a good deal of why. No doubt one of 2012’s landmark albums. Highly recommended.” - The Obeslisk

UK sensation Ellie Goulding has announced that she will release a brand-new album, entitled Halcyon, on October 9th on Cherrytree/ Interscope Records. All the tracks on the album were written and co-produced by Ellie Goulding and the majority were recorded in a converted barn in Ellie’s hometown in the Hay Valley, West England with producer Jim Elliot (Kylie / Ladyhawke).

“This album for me is a journey from dark into light from confusion to understanding,” Goulding says. “I didn’t set out to write a break-up record but I think it became one.” A lyric video for the first single from the album, “Anything Could Happen,” will premiere on VEVO on August 13th, followed by the release of the single via all digital retailers on August 21st.

Fans got a taste of the new album earlier this month when Goulding posted a free download of a new track “Hanging On” featuring Tinie Tempah. The volume of fans rushing to hear the track caused Soundcloud to crash. “Hanging On” was the number one most blogged and played track on Hypemachine that week and has racked up one million total plays/views on YouTube and Soundcloud. Watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ap-A0RKhi2s

“Anything Could Happen” is the first new original music from the British singer-songwriter since she burst onto the scene with the catchy folk-pop electro songs on her debut album Lights, which was the best-selling debut album of 2010 in the UK and has spawned several singles that have sold five million copies worldwide. She has also earned a legion of fans in the U.S. thanks to radio airplay and relentless touring that has seen her play to over 30,000 fans Stateside as well as festival appearances and a sold-out Katy Perry tour . Certified double-platinum in the U.S, the single “Lights” has sold more than 2.5 million copies, and is currently Top 5 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Top 40 charts.

Since Poney (m/o Romero, The Dead Hookers) released “Seamyth” and toured the US in 2011, burning a trail of shock and awe across the Northwest, they”ve been writing and recording a series of new sessions. In August, the band will be releasing two cassette tapes in limited quantities. One is a tape version of the new Octavius / Melt Trip single, and will come on 50 red see-through cassettes with correlated, hand screened posters. Those songs are the first of a new LP, titled Rorschach, which is already completed and will be released in mid-Autumn. The other tape cassette is a remastered re-release of our first two albums, “The Explosion Years: 2010-2015” and ”four song EP,” pressed onto 100 solid orange cassettes.

Next month Poney will be going out East to tour in support of these releases. I’ve included dates below. They’ll be sharing the road with their good friends Morality Crisis (Minneapolis,) an upcoming act in the twin cities. Morality Crisis has just released a new EP titled “North” that is very heavy and very artful, and they put on an incredible live show.

Finally, in September Poney will release the Octavius / Melt Trip 7”. The band’s first 7” will come on marbled multicolored vinyl with hand screened, recycled card sleeves. Much care and passion were put into the production of this record-single, and we couldn’t be more excited to release it.

So that’s it: East Coast tour and three physical releases in the span of a month. If there’s anything else you’d like from me, please feel free to hit me back and let me know.

PONEY + MORALITY CRISIS EAST COAST TOUR 2012:

Aug. 11- Winona, MN
Aug. 12- Springfield, IL
Aug. 13- Indianapolis, IN

Aug. 21- Pittsburgh, PA
