John Nolan was on Voice & Verse Podcast and had a pretty in depth talk about Straylight Run's first album.
To commemorate the album’s 10th anniversary, I caught up with John to chat about its creation, how he grew as a songwriter and just who the songs on Straylight Run are – or aren’t – about
First off, I just wanna say that the Township Auditorium is a very nice venue. It reminds me a lot of The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA. This was my first dubstep show. There was plenty of annoying white girls and loud dude bro's but I was there for the music more than the crowd.

HARMER: To his credit, he spoke up very early on in the process. It wasn’t like we were a week away from finishing the record or something. It was actually kind of exciting in that moment to stop and rethink our process. I’m really grateful to him for that. Having an outside producer really galvanized all of our roles in a good way, and in a way that I’d never experienced before. It really made me stop and take stock of my own playing in a different way, which was cool.
