Pennsylvania metal act THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE launched an Indiegogo campaign today to try and stay on the road. The band is currently between tours supporting their recently released LP, "Dead Years." A full statement from the band is below. Click here to view the campaign.

We are This Or The Apocalypse, an internationally touring band from Lancaster, PA.  On our way home from our 30th US tour at about 3:00am Our van lit on fire and we broke down at a rest stop an hour away from home.  After waiting 8 hours we found someone to pick up and our trailer up and take us home while our van was towed to a garage.

After inspecting the van we were notified that it was far beyond repairable.  For any of you who have never followed us in the past, last winter we broke down in Canada and spent over $3K rebuilding our fuel pump, which took over a week.  We spent that week hopping from trains, vans, taxis and fans cars from show to show so that we didn’t have to cancel any dates on the tour.

Unfortunately, at this time with buying flights to Europe and dealing with other debts and personal expenses, we simply cannot afford to buy a new van.  So we are asking our fans to help with donations that all will go towards getting us a new van to get back on tour and promote our new album ‘Dead Years’ even more.

We put together a great list of incentives to say thank you for your help.  We will also be filming a web documentary about the band and the life of being a touring musician as well as a music video for the song “Americans” where we will be BLOWING UP our old van.

If you are unable to help us financially Indiegogo has great tools that help you share our cause with your friends which is just as big of a help to us.  Through your donations and promotion we can get a new vehicle and get back on the road and continue touring.

We really cannot express how much we appreciate all of your help.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Rick, Matt, Rod, Jack & Aaron

Emerging from what seemed to be a permanent hiatus, Oh, Manhattan returns with some new members, new material, and one hell of a story to tell. The hiatus began when key members, including Hance Alligood joining Woe, Is Me, left the band, but original vocalist and lyricist Donny Thomas has now officially rejoined. Donny is teaming up once again with guitarist Cody Gray, the two main writers of Spiritual Warfare, and the duo will be joined by returning guitarist Chris Branton as the only remaining members of Oh, Manhattan.

Joining them will be new members Will Turner (vocalist; ex-Some Mistakes), Tom Lovejoy (bassist; ex-Some Mistakes, ex-Latin For Truth) and Josh Landry (drummer).

The six-piece from Atlanta is currently in the lab with a pen and a pad already cranking out a new release which is to drop early this summer. The EP is titled A Generation in Peril and promises to be a powerful, lyrically driven record. The band is currently a free agent coming off of the release of Spiritual Warfare with Indianola Records, but time will tell where they will end up.

Oh, Manhattan will be returning to the national scene at this year’s South By So What Festival in Grand Prairie, Texas on March 16th and be sure to watch out for more regional dates leading up to the release of the new EP!

Well here it is, Silverstein’s new album “This is How the Wind Shifts.” This Canadian post-hardcore band has really out done themselves, even with their acoustics. This is definitely an album that Hopeless Records should be proud of. Even with their new lead guitarist, Paul-Marc Rousseau this album is a must listen. I would also like to thank Jordan Valeriote for producing such a great album. With this being Silverstein’s seventh studio album, I must say this album has to be my favorite.

From the clean vocals, into screams, to sick break downs, there’s no doubt that this album should be what Silverstein fans are listening to and begging to hear from them while they are on tour with guests, Issues, Glass Cloud, Secrets, and Like Moths to Flames. Silverstein’s front man, Shane Told said that the concept of this album is much like the one they released in 2009. (A Shipwreck in the Sand) This album contains fourteen new, ground breaking songs with a new sound that would please any Silverstein fan. On a scale of 10, this album gets a 9.5, I don’t see anything that this band could have done to further improve this album.

Following two monstrous years that saw AUGUST BURNS RED release multiple albums – 2011’s Leveler and 2012’s holiday album, Sleddin’ Hill – headline tours of North and South America, Europe, Japan, Australia and more, the Manheim, PA-based quintet is back at it. Beginning next week the band will hit the studio to start recording their fifth full-length album (holiday releases notwithstanding), due out later this year.

“2012 turned out to be quite intense for us from a touring standpoint,” says guitarist JB Brubaker. “We did more traveling than we had ever previously done in our career and after three straight months on the road to end the year I think we were all ready to come home and shift into writing/recording mode. Now that the writing is complete we are all itching to get started with the actual tracking.”

“This new record will push the boundaries of our genre more than we ever have before,” Brubaker continues excitedly. “We set out to write a record where every song stands out from the last. There is a lot of ground covered here and a ton of meat to this album. It’s full of odd metered rhythms and breakdowns, unexpected twists and turns, and some of our most technical riffing to date. Each of us have parts that make our heads spin and we have had to practice like crazy to get some of this stuff together. I know we always say this, but this will be our most ambitious album yet.”
