Beartooth, the new hardcore outlet featuring former Attack Attack! frontman Caleb Shomo have announced a string of one off’s dates that will not take the group to any music venues, but will take them to fans’ living rooms.

"I don’t care where I play a show as long as its intimate" said Shomo. "And I don’t know how shows can be more intimate than in somebody’s house! I’d rather play to 50 people going crazy and truly experiencing the music how it was meant to be experienced than playing for 5,000 people who can’t get to the mic and sing, get on the stage and go crazy, then jump off and be caught by their friends and can’t hang out with us.".

The group caused a stir and a demand with the release of their latest live video for their current single “I Have A Problem” which showcased what the bands live show consisted of, stage dives, high fives and broken ceiling fans.

Dance-infused rock innovators, THE BUNNY THE BEAR have announced that their forthcoming, and third studio album will be titled, Stories. The album will be released on April 16th.  Recorded at Watchmen Studios with their longtime producer Doug White (GYM CLASS HEROS, EVERY TIME I DIE), Stories demonstrates the bands’ contrasting, trademark, duel vocalist approach, with dangerously catchy melodies in their most dynamic release to date.

This week’s 5 Albums that Influenced Me contribution comes from Will and Gary from Eager Teeth (their new album is out today!)

Will:

Phoenix – Alphabetical: First time I heard this I listened to it over and over for about a month… Slickest pop production with probably the tightest of musicians and just generally great songs.

Saves The Day – Can’t Slow Down: This record changed me for the better. Incredible.

Lifetime - Jerseys Best Dancers: Dan Yemin.

Jeff Buckley – Grace: Not much music really touches me, this gets me every time. “Last goodbye” is like watching “the notebook”and the first ten minutes of “up” in one.

Wu-tang Clan - 36 Chambers: I always related to this record growing up in the mean streets of Heathfield. Oh wait, I’m a middle class white boy. Anyway, it’s a great record. I have a c.r.e.a.m tattoo, true story.

Gary:

Misfits – Static Age: Pretty much all you need to know about punk. The Punk Bible.

Descendents – Everything Sucks: Okay, so this could be the punk bible too.  But Static Age would be the Old Testament, and this would be the New Testament.

Phoenix – United: My favorite album of all time. A perfect pop record, simple and catchy yet rich in complexities and a severely understated tightness of rhythm that literally binds it together to something magnificent.  I loathe using the term ‘groove’, but if there ever was a science of it Phoenix would be the masters. Too Young has appeared on every mix tape and cd I’ve made since 2001 (much to the annoyance of anyone who’s ever been in the car with me).

The Smiths – The Queen Is Dead: I’ve always been a big Smiths and Morrissey fan.  This is what I would consider their crowning moment, gliding from eponymous crashing opener (The Queen Is Dead) to tender ballad (I Know It’s Over) to the pop masterpiece that is The Boy With The Thorn In His Side (my first ever tattoo, yaaaay).

The Pixies – Doolittle: In terms of rock albums, this one taught me that it’s okay to go against the grain completely and create something that is wildly varied but maintains a rawness about it that holds every track together cohesively.  This album has its avant-garde moments and its heavy moments, but is also unashamedly poppy in places.  Frank Black has always been a dab hand at drastic changes in volume, quiet… quiet… quiet…. LOUD! Quiet… etc.. See ‘Tame’ for a perfect example. And ‘Hey’ is one of my favorite songs about a knocking shop ever.  Hell, it IS my favourite.  It has sex noises in it.

Allston, MA groove heavy prog metallers, Caricature, have teamed up with BlankTV for the worldwide premiere of their music video, ‘A Long Term Illness’. Head on over to this location to check out the video and get the run down on the filming of the video from Caricature mainman Joseph Spiller. The track is taken from their forthcoming debut album, “The Sound of One Man’s World Collapsing.” The band is currently in the process of securing a label home to release the album a bit later this year.

This week’s debut feature; “Albums That Influenced Me” contributor is vocalist Ben Barlow of Neck Deep!

Blink 182 - Blink are my all time favorite band, they’re the band that as a kid defined music for me, ever since I heard blink all I wanted to do was be in a band, so that’s a pretty obvious one.

New Found Glory - My second favorite band, same as above. For me Blink and New Found Glory go hand in hand.

Dallas Green (City and Colour) - I’ve always been into folk music, I did a little acoustic thing a few years back and Dallas was always my idol. His style of writing songs and his lyrics were what I loved. That acoustic project was the building blocks to where I am now, so to City and Colour, I owe that.

Eminem/ Notorious BIG - I know this is technically two artists, but its so hard to chose between the two and they inspire me for the same reasons. I’ve always been big on hip hop, and still listen to a lot of hip hop today, biggie and Eminem were always my favorites. Where I took inspiration lyrically from new found, blink and Dallas green, biggie and Eminem’s flow was always something I loved and it kind of just sank in after a while and I think that shows in some neck deep songs.

Bring Me The Horizon - I know some people might be a bit surprised by this one, but there on here with good reason. I was always a big fan of bring me when I was younger and there new stuff is sounding amazing again which is good to see. However, they inspire me because of what they achieved and where they came from, they did it properly and deserve to be where they are now. I could only ever dream of neck deep doing something on a similar scale.

Forever After have been blazing through the ranks of the underground pop punk scene with their catchy melodies, big hooks and distinctive sound. Having already secured a strong local following in their home county of Essex, the young 4 piece have been smashing stages all over the country and supported some of the UK’s next wave of British breakthrough artists such as Mallory Knox, That Sunday Feeling and Futures.

Forever After are now ready to release the highly anticipated EP ‘Wilderness’ on the 24th March 2013.
