Canada’s black/death destroyers WEAPON have unleashed a brand new music video for the title track from their Relapse Records debut, Embers and Revelations, via Noisecreep at this location.  Vetis Monarch, leader of the horde, commented on the concept and making of the clip:

"This is the first official, professionally done WEAPON music video. Choosing one song off of ‘Embers And Revelations’ was tough, but we finally decided on the title track of the album because it represents  WEAPON in 2013 so aptly: violent, mystical, cathartic. The video was filmed / edited by Dan Wilberg and his cohorts (who also filmed the entire making-the-album series of ‘Embers And Revelations’); suffice to say, the experience was quite different for us, being in front of a bunch of cameras and such… very different from a live concert setting.

The underlying theme of the video is that of rebirth, which is in essence the underlying theme of the new album, and WEAPON itself. We also hint at some Aghori-esque elements, and we have expanded on my appreciation of daemonic principles of the female form. This video is truly a great visualization of the ideology within our music.”

OTEP’s final album Hydra is out today, January 22nd and is already climbing the iTunes charts; currently at #8 on the Rock Chart and #78 on the Overall Chart. Hydra takes listeners on a fantastical, demonic ride through the mind of a girl who has been cast aside, set on vengeance against the world that has forgotten her. Seducing your ears with every aspect of the vocal spectrum, the artist, activist and poet will put you in a trance, creating a theater of the mind the likes of which you have never imagined before.

With a sound all her own, OTEP has been terrorizing the metal scene for years with a mixture of unforgiving heavy sounds and beautifully haunting spoken words resulting in over 600,000 albums sold to date. Utilizing her unrivaled songwriting ability, OTEP has powered through taboo topics such as politics, sex, animal rights, equal rights, bigotry and hatred in previous releases. Playing for fans across the globe, she has been preaching a venomous, metal-infused gospel for well over a decade.

Australian industrial metal heavyweights SYNTHETIC BREED are pleased to announce that they have released a brand new single featuring the return of original vocalist Callan Hughes. The new track, ‘Xenogenesis’, is a “taste of what’s to come” from the emerging band, bringing a polished and more refined sound to the table while retaining the same formulated chaos the band is known for. ‘Xenogenesis’ was mastered by Mike Spreitzer of DevilDriver.

Callan Hughes returned to the band in October 2012 and the band immediately started writing new material. ‘Xenogenesis’ is the first track that was recorded by the reunited group, and as stated above, really gives the listener a taste of what is to come from the band’s upcoming full-length album. The full-length, which currently does not have a release date, is presently in the works.

‘Xenogenesis’ is available for streaming exclusively on SYNTHETIC BREED’s Facebook page and the Rogue Records Facebook page and is available worldwide on Rogue Records America’s bandcamp page. The single will be available on iTunes starting on January 25th. SYNTHETIC BREED is planning to release a lyric video this week just in time for the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. The band’s mobile app will also be updated for the event.

London based EDM/Punk trio, ANiMAL, is kicking off 2013 with the debut of their video ‘The Animal Cage.’

Directed by drummer Andy Mckenzie (who directs and edits all of the band’s videos) and starring the trio themselves, the video is a vicious romp through the band’s kidnapping and terrorization by a demented stalker-fan (played with harrowing and hysterical effect by actor/director Andrzej Sosnowski), leaving us wondering if they’ll make it out alive…”if you don’t know, then get to know!”

Black metal masters IMPERIUM DEKADENZ have revealed the cover art for their forthcoming album, titled ‘Meadows of Nostalgia’.

IMPERIUM DEKADENZ rises from Germany’s Black Forest and delivers unto us the epic new album ‘Meadows of Nostalgia’. ‘Meadows of Nostalgia’ is a black metal album in the classic sense; a desolate, morose journey from start-to-finish that transports the listener out into another place and time. Haunting, melodic guitars and passages of melancholy and despair build each song to new heights as IMPERIUM DEKADENZ craft black metal fused with nods to the old school into a sound they can call their own.

About the cover, the band said “A traveling salesman, marked by a hard life, wanders lost in his thoughts over the high passes of the Black Forest. Despite all, he follows his path without hesitation through harsh landscapes and yet the mountains stand proudly and the epic scenery might even be called romantic. This cover reflects all the emotions, impressions and facets of Imperium Dekadenz. It is an imperial Black Forest symphony!”

‘Meadows of Nostalgia’ will be available on March 19th in North America. The album will be available in CD format, and a deluxe double LP that is limited to 250 copies worldwide.

Norwegian black metal masters KOLDBRANN are streaming a new song off of their forthcoming Season of Mist debut, ‘Vertigo’. Drammen” is streaming now at GunShyAssasin.com.

KOLDBRANN have been spearheading the Norwegian underground black metal scene since their founding in 2001. Together with compatriots such as 1349, URGEHAL and others, the band remained true to the early spirit of the genre. Their brand new full-length ‘Vertigo’ sees KOLDBRANN drawing deep from their cold, raw black roots, while simultaneously exploring new, vintage sonic territory.

“Vertigo” can be pre-ordered at the Season of Mist e-shop. The album is available in CD format, and a gate-fold double LP in black and transparent vinyl.

KOLDBRAAN recently released “Totalt Sjelelig Bankerott”, a 7” single strictly limited to 300 copies worldwide, with an exclusive B side entitled ““Kasjtjeijs Svøpe”. This vinyl edition is already sold-out but the single is available digitally! A music video for “Totalt Sjelelig Bankerott”, directed by Effektor and featuring guest vocals by Erlend Hjelvik from KVELERTAK can be viewed at Season of Mist’s Youtube channel.
