Produced by Kevin Lankford and engineered by Andreas Magnusson, "Dead Years" is some of the band’s most aggressive material to date.

THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE will be shooting a music video for the tracks "Hell Praiser" and "Hate the Ones You Love" with famed director David Brodsky (WHITE CHAPEL, AS I LAY DYING). The band will be shooting the first video for “Hell Praiser” at The Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA. Any fans in the area are encouraged to come to the shoot and participate!

Hotly tipped alt-indie outfit, VICES, will release their brand new EP, Hotel Monsoon, this autumn.

Spotted by Jeff Saltzman (Producer; The Killers, Hot Fuzz, ex Green Day manager) in a small LA bar, he took the Reading born, London based band to his recording studio in Hollywood and produced their debut album, The Wind I Walk Into“We played all up Sunset Boulevard at the Viper Room and Roxy”, recalls Rory Seabrook (Drummer). “Then one guy, Jeff came down to a show and wanted to record us immediately.”

Off the back of this recording VICES have toured Europe and North America supporting the likes of Band Of Skulls, Everything Everything and Dry The River.

Since returning back to English soil, the five young, rising stars have finished a self recorded, self produced EP called Hotel Monsoon, showcasing a new direction for the band.

Track-listing: 1. Dying Day, 2. Airports, 3. Deep Rivers Run, 4. Human Being, Hotel Monsoon

We’re debuting a new feature this week; Classic Bands and Why We Love Them! Today’s feature comes from our new contributor, Morgan.

Yellowcard, a band started in 1997 in Jacksonville, Florida by the original members, Ben Dobson, Todd Clary, Sean Mackin, Ben Harper, and Longineu W. Parsons III.  The band started off as a hardcore punk band, and then later on in 2000 when Ben Dobson quit, Ben Harper asked Ryan Key who is still a member of Yellowcard was asked  to join. When Ryan Key joined the band genre changed drastically and formed into a pop punk/rock band. Ever since Ryan Key has joined Yellowcard has built a fanbase from all over the world. After going through various amounts of bassists, and guitarist Yellowcard now has a final line up which Ryan Mendez joined the band in 2005, and Josh Portman joined this year. I feel like this is and will be the future and solid line up for Yellowcard.

After four records with Ryan Key, in 2008 they went on an indefinite hiatus for 2 years and came back stronger than ever when they joined the indie label, Hopeless Records,  and then recorded an album released in 2011 called, When You’re Through Thinking Say Yes. In a little over a year they wrote and recorded an album called Southern Air which happens to the best Yellowcard record yet. Yellowcard is my favorite band because of the power in the music they have created for so long, and the heart and soul they give into when they write the music. Each member has something unique about their music abilities and I feel like that’s what influences me the most about the band. In the record, Southern Air, has the catchiest riffs and vocal patterns I have ever heard in my entire life; they definitely know how to catch the listener’s attention.

After going on a hiatus and then writing two successful records in the span of a little over a year blows my mind right out of the water, and I feel like that is the main reason why Yellowcard is and will always be my favorite band. This band has been through blood, sweat, and tears through their comeback and they deserve every amazing thing that happens to them.

Confide have reunited after two years and posted a statement regarding a new album.

"After spending 5 years touring around the world to, approximately, 15 different countries, Confide decided to disband in 2010 with no intention of ever getting back together. Following two years of consistent support and encouragement from fans, family and friends, recently the idea of writing another record came to our thoughts. When introduced to Kickstarter and it’s intelligent concept of creating projects for which fans, or what are called "backers", take the initiative to raising the funds necessary to make ideas become realities, Confide was sold on the possibility of writing another record together.

So, here we are coming to you, the people that have constantly supported us in all we do, asking you to help us make this a reality. Being able to do another album for you all would not just be your typical release from another band, but an album that we would be completely free of any musical restriction or creative boundaries. Not being on a record label or touring anymore would supply us with the adequate amount of time and freedom to write a record that we would love from start to finish, with no stress or worry of making any manager, agent or label satisfied, but just us and you, the fans (backers), happy with the outcome.

The minimum goal that we discussed and chose for this project to happen was $30,000. The initial sight of that number may be overwhelming, but when taken into consideration that the average album cost (supported by a record label) is anywhere from $20,000 to $100,000 (give or take, based on different circumstances), we believed that this was a reasonable goal. Every cent being raised is being poured directly back into this album, as the video above briefly explains. Please keep in mind that $30,000 is our “minimum” goal for this project; that amount has been budgeted out to be just enough to fund the entire writing and recording process properly. Anything over $30,000 would allow us to financially invest more into this album, providing an even better record for you!

If you want to back this project, then please take a look at our rewards and find one (or more) that suits you best! We put a lot of thought into the process of deciding which rewards would best represent us, as a band that has always loved our fans, as well as would be financially feasible for those that are backing this project. If you can’t financially support this project, but want to take part in making this album happen then your help promoting this Kickstarter is just as important; whether it’s Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, etc. or just word of mouth, we would love all of you to be a part of this!

Thank you for your continued love and support,

Confide”
