Wanderer is Adam Simons - solo artist
For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Wanderer? How long has the band been around?
Adam used to be part of the pop/rock group RadioDriveBy, and currently also plays with the indie rock band Weslynn.
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
It comes from a feeling I think a lot of young people have. Feeling like we’re looking for something, traveling, finding our meaning. I want the project to reflect that.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
I write and record everything. The themes of the music come from my life, and experiences that I have.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
The 1975, The Weeknd, The Neighborhood, Tears For Fears, The Police, John Mayer
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
I’ve been in bands and playing music for over a decade. Going to concerts was what inspired me to make my own music.
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …
Vocal warmups, drink water, stretch. Mentally prepare.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
We just launched the project this week. So it’s all very new. The response to Only In The Night has been really amazing already.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin. Legends. They were making history.
