After a brief hiatus, Canadian rock band Stealing Eden will be releasing new material at the beginning of 2020.

For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Stealing Eden? How long has the band been around?
Dave: Noise Therapy
Max & Monty: Among The Betrayed
Stealing Eden has been around since 2010
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
Dave: Never changed it, there was a building Downtown Vancouver called “Eden”. I almost called the band “Eden” but opted to steal it instead lol.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
Max writes most of the music, Dave writes most of the lyrics.
Dave: My lyric themes are based entirely on my mood and what the music asks me to write about.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
Dave: That’s a tough one, I don’t think I could put my finger on any one artist right now. All kinds of music inspires us, I personally go from Octane to Chill to whatever I feel like. I’m not loyal to one genre!
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
Dave: Mike Patton from Faith No More was my main inspiration to become a singer.
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, etc …
Dave: Crap my pants! lol, I get serious stage fright, but it goes away soon as I open my mouth and let out my first note. Stretching is a must, I like to jump around lots and end up injured if I don’t.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
Dave: Buying our first record back from our old label and being fully in control of our careers for the first time.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Dave: Faith No More, Shinedown or anybody really lol, I love touring, seeing the countryside and meeting new people.

Dave: Just how excited we are to get back at it!
