The Daily Complaint: Please Stop Acting Like You Are Too Cool To Like Music.

You know what I'm talking about. The people who can't be bothered to care about anything and spend more time and energy trying to seem cool than they do on anything else. They pay money to go to a show and then they stand in the back talking shit about anyone who dares to be excited. They still use the word "fan-girl" as an insult and they try their best to make people feel bad about themselves. Guess what guys, you don't seem "cool" you just seem like an asshole. This is not only a problem among fans but also among artists. If you're in a band, it's okay to give a shit. Not only is it okay, but it's actually encouraged. The more excited you are about your art the more other people will be as well.

As a band, your goal should be to have the most enthusiastic, most incredible fans and acting like you're too good to interact with them is not the way to do it. I don't know if you know this, but they are your source of income. Not only that, but they are human beings who care about the art that you making and they are the only reason you are able to continue to do what you do. This anti-fan culture needs to stop. Don't be afraid to like things and to tell people about a new band that you like or a new song that is a total bop and don't let other people make you feel bad for liking the music that you like. Supporting your favorite artists is cool.
