Rest In Peace Biggie Smalls.
Ronald Belford Scott: July 9th, 1946- February 19th, 1980
37 years ago today, lead singer of AC/DC, Bon Scott was found dead. Scott had been drinking heavily at a club in London formally called Music Machine ( now known as KOKO) with friends. Found not breathing in the front of acquaintance Alistair Kinnear Renault 5 , Scott was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The cause of death was reported to be 'acute alcohol poisoning' and 'death by misadventure', Scott was later cremated and laid to rest by family at Fremantle Cemetery.
Scream Bloody Gore is arguably the most influential and most important album in the death metal genre. The album has been meticulously remastered from the original tapes by Alan Douches (Death, Mastodon, Nile) and includes a plethora of bonus content, including previously unreleased recordings and rehearsal demos, super-expanded packaging, and brand-new extensive liner notes from former Death drummer / Autopsy founder Chris Reifert, Sepultura's Max Cavalera, and original producer Randy Burns. Stream two remastered songs, "Baptized In Blood", and "Zombie Ritual" below. Preorder the album here.

We recently spoke with Dave Davidson about Revocation's latest record, Deathless.
Listen to a new Cannabis Corpse song, "Individual Pot Patterns", which is a reference to the Death song of the similar name.
In the metal world, few bands come close to being as influential as Death. Formed in 1983, Death would go on to being one of the most influential bands in the death metal genre, a career spanning eighteen years and seven records. The band tragically ended in 2001, with the passing of frontman and mastermind of the band, Chuck Schuldiner, from cancer. In their wake, the band left behind the sonic blueprint for the death metal genre, a genre that continues to thrive and evolve to this day.
The fifth installment in Relapse’s exhaustive reissue campaign of DEATH’s immensely influential catalog is Leprosy, the band’s titanic second album. Originally released in 1988 Leprosy was a pioneering album, building upon the thrash sounds of Metallica and Slayer but adding a previously unheard level of raw extremity. These songs are the roots of an entire genre: death metal. While this was only the second record DEATH released, it immediately cemented them as heavy metal icons. View the tracklist below
