Crown the Empire killed it onstage in Atlanta last Monday night for the Take Action Tour with friends, We Came As Romans and The Used.  They really had the crowd going, especially with the moshpits they created. Playing mostly songs from their debut album, “The Fallout” their  fans were very familiar with the lyrics as they screamed them along with the band, including my favorite song “Makeshift Chemistry”. For  being a new upcoming band from Rise Records, CTE did not disappoint.

Atlanta was going crazy waiting for We Came As Romans to hit the stage. I talked to Kyle Pavone (clean vocals) before they went on and he  seemed pretty stoked to play for Atlanta. With Kyle’s singing, Dave’s screaming, and the band’s instrumentals, this band was giving their  fans one hell of a show. WCAR was warming this crowd up for The Used, even though these fans were already anticipating their stage arrival.  While playing three new songs, We Came As Romans were giving the fans what they paid for and a show to remember. Not only are they an  awesome band but they are some pretty chill guys off the stage as well.

After waiting for what seemed like forever, the lights finally dimmed and The Used walked out on the stage. They wasted no time and  launched right into “Listening” a song from their second album, In Love and Death. Their setlist included a few favorites, including the songs,  “he Bird and the Worm”, “The Taste of Ink”, and “All That I’ve Got”. Bert must have not been feeling too well cause he seemed to use the mic  stand more than necessary.

At one point in the show, a female fan threw a shirt on stage with the lyrics from a “Sold My Soul” on it, a song  from their 2009 album, Artwork. Bert noticed the shirt had one of the words was wrong, but was nice enough to let her on stage to help sing  a few songs. Before they played their next to last song, Bert asked the crowd for wall of death, which the crowd happily obliged to. Being my  first time seeing The Used, I was very impressed; stoked to seem on Vans Warped Tour this summer.
