First Impressions: My Ticket Home - unReal

I haven't stopped listening to this album since it landed in my inbox a few days ago. My Ticket Home changed genres on their 2013 album Strangers Only and have done so again on their upcoming release, unReal. Read my running commentary on the album below and see if you agree when the album comes out October 6th via Spinefarm Records!

  • Yes, there are screams on the album. Intermittent but they are there. The album is still heavy for having less screams.
  • Redline is reminiscent of Linkin Park. Almost sounds like a B-side from Meteora.

  • Down Life has an intro that's a homage to Floods by Pantera. Mainly the guitar sound in the intro and the part right before the solo.

  • Lots of Alice In Chains/Deftones influence on this album.

  • This album could've come out in the mid/late 90's and sold well.

  • Guitars and drums sound massive on a good system.

  • I predict Down Life, Redline, Hyperreal will be the next single(s)
