Dutch Rockers New Politics have been on the road with 311 all summer long! New Politics are a Denmark-based band, Soren Hansen and David Boyd started the band in Denmark and moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2011. There the pair met Louis Vecchio, their soon-to-be drummer. The band currently consists of David Boyd (lead vocals), Soren Hanson (piano, vocals & guitar) and Louis Vecchio (drummer).
The trio put out their debut album "New Politics" on July 9th of 2010 which includes favorites such as "Dignity & Yeah Yeah Yeah". In 2013, the band released their sophomore album entitled "A Bad Girl in Harlem" with chart topping favorites such as "Just Like Me", "Tonight You're Perfect" & of course "Harlem". During their show at White Water Amphitheater they played many songs off of their sophomore album and their junior album "Vikings" which came out in August of 2015. The trio have a new album coming out October 6th, 2017 titled "Lost In Translation". The band have already released one single entitled "CIA".
New Politics entered the stage smiles on their faces and full of energy. The singer, David even came into the crowd and trusted them to hold him up and catch him after their song "Into Your Arms'' concluded. Soren and Lou had great energy, interacting with the crowd and Lou even threw a drumstick into the crowd. New Politics do not fail to disappoint with great stage presence and relatable lyrics.
311 ended the night with a kickass performance filled with rock and roll and a pinch of reggae. 311 are from Omaha, Nebraska and have been a band since 1988. They have 14 studio albums, 1 live album and 33 singes. Three of their albums are certified platinum and two are certified gold. The group released a new album, "Mosaic" on June 23rd, 2017 which has received enormous amounts of praise for the tracks such as "Too Much To Think" and "Perfect Mistake". 311 have been on tour all summer long with friends, New Politics and recently added "Full Service". I had the opportunity to take photos of 311 at their show on August 6th, 2017 in New Braunfels, check out the gallery below:
