In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, Kill The Music are sponsoring the We Came As Romans/Silverstein tour/BBQ Festival in Douglasville, GA on October 26th. If you live in Georgia or the surrounding states, come out and say hello! Who are we gonna see at the show?

Southern California juggernauts IMPENDING DOOM have entered The Machine Shop (SUICIDE SILENCE, LAMB OF GOD) in  Belleville, NJ this week to start working on their next LP with producer Will Putney. Bass player David Sittig weighs in on where the band stands in the process:

The material is our best and heaviest work without a doubt. The chemistry between the five of us this time has been different and very unique. Our original guitarist Manny Contreras re-joined the band and we all could not be happier with what he has brought to the table. This is the Impending Doom album you have been waiting for!”

After spending much of the past several months headlining tours of Europe, Japan and Australia – with stops in New Zealand, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore along the way – globe-trotting metal titans AUGUST BURNS RED are excited to announce their return to their native continent with a Fall North American headlining tour. The tour marks the band’s first dates in the States since kicking off the year with a successful US headliner which packed in record crowds for the band, resulting in sold-out venues in nearly every market.

Fresh off a run of European festival and headlining dates, the band will launch their five-week, 30-city North American tour on August 31st with support from THE COLOR MORALE, labelmates THE OVERSEER and a yet-to-be-named special guest, before heading back to Europe where they’ll hit 12 countries in four weeks.

Perennially looking to give back to their fans, ABR are also pleased to announce an exclusive VIP package available for those looking to attend the tour. The deluxe option includes 1 concert ticket, an exclusive t-shirt, 11x17 lithograph and a preorder of the band’s forthcoming Christmas album, due later this year (details TBA) and goes on sale Thursday, July 12 at 10am.

Fans can purchase the VIP package here: AugustBurnsRedLive.com

Already among the most respected acts in the genre, AUGUST BURNS RED solidified their status further with the June 2011 release of their fourth studio album, Leveler, which rocketed to the top of the Billboard charts - debuting at #11 on the Billboard 200 in addition to entering the charts as the #1 Hard Rock album and #2 Rock album. Adding to the stellar debut is the  incredible durability and staying power Leveler has displayed, having become the band’s fastest selling album to date by a large margin.

Following two albums that have topped 100,000 apiece in sales (2009’s Constellations and 2007’s Messengers), Leveler is on pace to set a new high-bar for AUGUST BURNS RED, adding commercial success to the critical praise the album has garnered from the likes of Alternative Press, Revolver, Rock Sound and dozens of other outlets. The album pushes the band’s sonic boundaries in every direction, yet emerges as an unquestionably heavier album than its predecessor. It’s a game-changer, for ABR, and for fans of hard rock everywhere.

Days after the premiere of their breathtaking new video for “Dead Man,” Ohio rockers WOLVES AT THE GATE are pushing forward with yet another new track - "Safeguards" - from their debut full-length, Captors, out July 3rd on Solid State Records.

With “Safeguards,” the band continues carving out a niche that is likely to eventually spring a waterfall of imitators - a refreshing take on a well trodded genre that has caused Solid State to dub WOLVES AT THE GATE (alongside label mates THE OVERSEER) as one half of “The New Breed” - the front runners in a new generation of post-metalcore heavy music.

The track premieres hot on the heels of their recently released video for ‘Dead Man’ - a visually captivating tale of redemption told through a son’s post-mortem discovery of his father’s buried past.

The follow-up to their touted 2011 EP We Are the OnesCaptors finds the band not only living up to but surpassing the huge potential recognized by critics and fans alike. No longer constrained by the limits of an EP, the members of WOLVES AT THE GATE were able to showcase the explosive growth of their songwriting, from luscious, melodic rock tracks to lip-splitting hardcore stomps.

Produced by Andreas Magnussen (OH, SLEEPER, HASTE THE DAY, etc), Captors is a blisteringly heavy full-length debut with the potential to appeal to every variety of rocker – from fans of metalcore to traditional metal to mainstream hard rock. It’s an album that  like those of some of the band’s influences (AS CITIES BURN, THRICE, FOO FIGHTERS, UNDER0ATH) –  avoids pigeonholes and easy labels. With the November 2011 release of We Are The Ones, the band wedged their way into a crowded heavy music scene. Now, with Captors, the band is kicking down the door and taking no prisoners.

THE OVERSEER, the latest addition to the Solid State Records roster, are pleased to announce a June 19th release for their debut album, We Search, We Dig.

The surging hard rock outfit has been dominating the underground circuit of late with a relentless touring schedule and a rousing catalog of dynamic material that has been turning heads while also setting them apart from their peersNot content to simply be another voice in a crowded music scene, THE OVERSEER have three goals with their songs: to elevate, to transport the listener to a place that’s emotionally honest … and to stir up one hell of a mess in the moshpit.

All of those elements are on full technicolor display in We Search, We Dig. Recorded earlier this year at Atlanta’s Glow In The Dark studios, the album is a huge, dynamic debut that calls to mind artists like UNDER0ATH, THRICE and CAVE IN though with a clear, distinct voice that never emulates those artists directly. The band’s debut single, “Secrets,” perfectly encapsulates that approach and is available now on iTunes.

We Search, We Dig is an aggressive rock record that’s going to be a refreshing sound to this generation and today’s music scene,” says bassist Bradley Riggs. “Fans are really going to love the expected heavy aspect of the album… But it’s not a ‘breakdown’ heavy, exactly. The album has a lot of smooth softer rhythms and melodies that really set up big impacting choruses and riffs.”

For THE OVERSEERWe Search, We Dig is just as much an album of self discovery as it is the work of a band with a clear vision.

"The end of the second track, ‘Dredge’, has the lyrics ‘We search, we dig,’" explains vocalist Anthony Rivera. "That is a theme of the whole record, not just that track in particular - the idea that people are searching for hope, digging for truth and going through trials full of highs and lows. The record reflects on both extremes of the journey through the eyes of the band members."

Proving they’ve got the work ethic to back up their talentTHE OVERSEER have spent 400 days over the last two years touring as an unsigned band and winning over the fans the good, old-fashioned way: By playing their hearts out and grabbing listeners by the throat with an artful brand of dynamic, hard-hitting rock. It’s been a fruitful run for THE OVERSEER - if not always glamorous. “There’s really nothing like sleeping in a van in a different Walmart parking lot every night and showering once a week  - or less,” laughs Riggs.

With the release of We Search, We DigTHE OVERSEER is firmly planting their flag as a future genre frontrunner.
