City Lights have decided to call it quits after six years of being a band. View a message from the band below.
Boston’s A Loss For Words will celebrate the 5 year anniversary of their breakthrough release The Kids Can’t Lose, with a headline tour featuring support from their friends, Veara, City Lights, PVRIS and Moms. Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday Feb. 7th.
At first listen, City Lights' new release “The Way Things Should Be” sounds reminiscent of bands like Yellowcard and Anberlin. With their pop-punk vocals and their speeding drum beats, City Lights' fits into the group of bands these days putting a spin on traditional pop punk with hardcore breakdowns and airy guitar leads. “The Way Things Should Be” shows that City Lights is sticking to a well known sound, and creating a very good one at that.
All For Nothing are a pop punk band from Macon, GA. They recently caught my eye when they opened for Chiodos and covered A Day to Remember's "Right Back At It Again". I'd figured I'd relaunch this feature and put them in the Unsigned Spotlight.
