Bullet Tooth is excited to announce the signing of The Smoking Hearts from the UK! The band will release their Bullet Tooth debut album “Victory!” this summer in North America and Japan. Playing with the likes of The Used, Asking Alexandria, Gallows, Andrew WK, and many more, The Smoking Hearts have cemented their reputation as one of the most exciting young bands in the U.K. In fact, Jay and Moose from Bullet For My Valentine recently told the UK press, "We think everyone should check out The Smoking Hearts this year, they are good mates of ours. A brilliant band, think Motörhead on more speed beating up the Anti-Nowhere League then bumming The Ramones. Seriously, think about that. They have a new album out this year called ‘Victory!’, a definite recommendation.”
As Gallows faced 2012, the notorious UK punk band had no idea what the year might bring. The band had recently departed company with their frontman Frank Carter and despite an excellent reaction to the short, sharp shock of their ‘Death Is Birth’ EP at the end of 2011, their first material with new singer Wade MacNeil, none of the band could really have predicted how the new line-up would be received.
Fast forward a year and it’s like Wade has been in the band forever. Tearing through the festivals in the summer and laying down an incredible third album in their hometown of Watford, when their self-titled opus finally arrived, any doubters were very quickly silenced. “It’s our statement of intent, our laugh in the face of those who said Gallows were done,” claimed the band and the press could only agree, as the album was critically-acclaimed across the board.
Having Just finished a sold-out UK tour that saw Gallows dominate stages with more passion, anger and conviction than ever before, the band are now proud to announce the release of ‘Cross Of Lorraine’ as a single this coming December 10th on Venn Records. Already a firm live favourite, it’s the track that brings ‘Gallows’ third album to a rousing final, capturing everything that is important about the band in 2012 in a three minute attack. Snarling and anthemic, it works its way under your skin and refuses to budge. You have been warned.
Set for release on September 10th through the band’s own label Venn Records (in partnership with [PIAS] Recordings), Gallows third and self-titled album proves that their reputation as the UK’s most notorious and exciting punk band will not be changing any time soon. Recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by long-term friends Thomas Mitchener and Steve Sears at Broadfields Studio in Watford in May this year, it is, say the band “our statement of intent, our laugh in the face of those who said Gallows were done when in reality we’re just warming up,” they continue. “We couldn’t feel more vindicated and proud.”One of the album’s many stand-out tracks ‘Outsider Art’ will be released as a single on October 1st. “I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life getting lost on the road,” explains front man Wade. “There’s some dark stories to tell. ‘Outsider Art’ is just one of them.”
A classic Gallows track through and through, it retains all of the bands power and aggression but at the same time leaves their ability to pen a distinctive melody intact. A special edition version of the album will also include a DVD documentary that provides a fascinating and often hilarious insight into the world of Gallows over the last few months. Gallows can now also announce that they will play a special record release launch at The Fighting Cocks in Kingston on September 9th and have added a second night to The Underworld in Camden, now playing on both the 19th and 20th of October. Suffice to say, all of these shows will be hot, sweaty and utterly insane.
Gallows has announced they will be releasing their new album on the band’s new record label, Venn Records. This will be the band’s first full-length to feature new vocalist Wade MacNeil, formerly Alexisonfire. Check out the statement from the band below!
For the last seven years we have trudged step by step through the dark sewers of music industry. Shaking hands with snakes and signing contracts drafted by thieves with perfect teeth. We are happy to announce that we have become part of the problem. All hail Venn Records.”
