Through the magic of the internet, the unmastered version of Define the Great Line has surfaced.
Everyone's favorite metalcore band signed to a new label and are releasing a new album this year!
Usually kept to Southern California, Self Help Fest expanded to three other cities this year, taking the San Bernardino-based music festival across the country. With great anticipation, Midwesterners were met with a warm weather welcome at the Detroit date. Even the anticipation of the rain couldn't quell the fans' excitement to see A Day To Remember, Rise Against, Underøath, and many more incredible bands.
A Day To Remember has been a high-rising rock band for several years, garnering respect from listeners and other bands from several genres. Recognizing a downfall in the hard rock scene, the band decided to take action towards a solution. Beginning in 2014 as just a one-day festival in Southern California, Self Help Fest, which encourages hard rock bands to support each other, will span across 4 different states between 2017 and 2018. At each date in 2017, you’ll be able to catch fan favorites Underøath, Moose Blood, Wage War, The Plot In You, and of course, A Day To Remember (San Bernardino’s lineup has yet to be announced).
Underoath will be kicking off the Rebirth Tour Australia on February! They'll be playing They’re Only Chasing Safety and Define The Great Line in full, back to back, every night. Presale VIP bundles are now available at https://underoath.merchline.com/
There’s absolutely no denying it: on August 17, 2015, Underoath fans lost it when the band announced that they would be returning, after tweeting out “We have been Underoath,” only several years ago after their final show concluded. Whether this reunion is long term or just a nostalgia run is uncertain, but one thing is for sure: we have one of the defining outfits of the metalcore genre taking the stage across America right now, and we get to witness them perform two albums that helped solidify their place among the genre’s legendary acts, They’re Only Chasing Safety and Define The Great Line, even if it’s for just one last time. Join us as we take a brief look back at the history and discography of Underoath.
You can stream the full live set of Underoath's secret show from a few nights ago below. The Rebirth Tour starts tonight in St Petersburg, FL!
Underoath will embark on their eagerly anticipated Rebirth Tour on March 16 and have added instrumental post-rock outfit Caspian as opener for the upcoming six-week trek.
One of our favorite things about headlining tours is that we get to bring along bands that we think are awesome and we want people to see,” explained Underoath keyboard player Chris Dudley. “Caspian is just a great band. They deserve the biggest audience possible and we think that everyone who comes to this tour is going to be blown away.”
