A Day To Remember has been a high-rising rock band for several years, garnering respect from listeners and other bands from several genres. Recognizing a downfall in the hard rock scene, the band decided to take action towards a solution. Beginning in 2014 as just a one-day festival in Southern California, Self Help Fest, which encourages hard rock bands to support each other, will span across 4 different states between 2017 and 2018. At each date in 2017, you’ll be able to catch fan favorites Underøath, Moose Blood, Wage War, The Plot In You, and, of course, A Day To Remember (San Bernardino’s lineup has yet to be announced).
Jeremy McKinnon, ADTR frontman, told Radio.com in a 2016 interview , “I’ve seen multiple bands—that have played a lot of the years—play their best sets that I’ve ever seen them play at this festival just because of how into the show the crowd got. It pushed everybody to play at another level that I haven’t seen these guys do.”
In past years, the lineup has included many favorites, including Letlive., Tonight Alive, Crown The Empire, The Wonder Years, and the list goes on and on. This year is no exception to ADTR's ability to put together a bill that excites fans and bands alike.
Philadelphia kicks off Self Help on September 10th at Festival Pier. Joining the lineup are Falling In Reverse, Silverstein, Real Friends, Stay From the Path, Angel Du$t, Can’t Swim, Bad Omens, and Microwave. Real Friends and Bad Omens continue on September 30th in Orlando at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. There, they’ll be joined by The Story So Far, State Champs, Less Than Jake, Dance Gavin Dance, Streetlight Manifesto, and Attilla. Falling In Reverse will rejoin the Self Help lineup on October 7th in Detroit at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheater at Freedom Hill. Pierce The Veil, Of Mice & Men, Issues, Too Close To Touch, Sylar, and co-headliners, Rise Against, are also on the bill. No matter which date you attend, Self Help Fest will deliver performances to remember.
Which date are you attending? Who are you most excited to see? If you’re going to the Detroit date, we will see you there!
