Rise Against announced that they will release Long Forgotten Songs: B-Sides & Covers 2000 2013 September 10th on Interscope Records.
In the last thirteen or so years Rise Against has put out six records, each one we are proud to put our name on, says lead singer Tim McIlrath. But we are just as proud of these 26 songs that slipped through the cracks and never ended up on any of our full lengths. In various ways, most of these songs saw the light of day at some point, but we thought we would spare you the digging and put them all on one record
.Go to www.riseagainst.com for a teaser clip. Long Forgotten Songs: B-Sides & Covers 2000 2013 will include songs from Rise Againsts career, starting before they signed with Fat Wreck Chords, that did not end up on any of their studio albums.

Corey Taylor’s new book, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven” comes out today. You can also get it for FREE as an audiobook on Audible.com read by Corey himself.
In this book, Corey Taylor undertakes something never before attempted in the history of rock superstardom: he takes you with him as he journeys undercover through various ghostbusting groups who do their best to gather information and evidence about the existence of spirits. Some are more credible than others, and, frankly, some are completely insane, but all are observed with appropriate seriousness as Taylor attempts to better understand some of the spooky things that have happened to him in his life, especially that night at the Cold House.
But that’s not all, folks. Taylor once again gives you a behind-the-scenes tour of his crazy life and the many beyond-the-grave events he’s encountered. (You’ll be shocked how often Slipknot has been invaded by the supernatural.) Taylor also touches on his religious background and how it led him to believe in much more than the Man in the Sky.

According to multiple French news outlets, Varg Vikernes was arrested by the Central Directorate of Interior Intelligence (DCRI) earlier today at his farm in in Corrèze, France. Vikernes is suspected of planning a “massacre” and being “likely to prepare a large-scale act of terrorism,” say authorities.
The arrest came after his wife, a French national, legally purchased four rifles. Vikernes’ home was subsequently searched for additional weapons, as well as explosives; it has not yet been revealed whether or not any contraband was found on the premises.
