The Album cover for "Blue"

Young Culture: Prepares For New Album

Young Culture is a three piece pop-punk/pop-rock  band which was formed in 2016 in Albany, New York.

After releasing their first EP “YOU”, in July of 2016, which features State Champs vocalist, Derek Discanio on their song, “Bedroom Floor.
The band has known Derek since high school, playing shows with State Champs before they blew up.  While working on the first album, they became really good friends with him, and then formed a business bond later on.

Since the release of "YOU" they have started getting a lot of buzz in the Albany/Oneonta areas. The hype led them to opening for their friends in State Champs in their hometown with With Confidence, Against the Current, and Don Broco this past spring.

The band has matured a lot over the past year, when they started recording "YOU", they were only 15 & 16 years old, guitarist Gabe Pietrafesa explained.
He says that they grew as both musicians and people, putting a lot of time into the recording of their new 5 song EP.

Their two new singles, “Bloom” and “Pure Gold” were both produced by Derek Discanio and will be on their second EP “Blue”, which will out November 24th.
Pietrafesa explains that those two singles represent the EP very well.
"We wanted to give everyone a taste of what the EP is going to sound like, a mix of poppy songs and a some nice mellow pop-punk songs. Bloom and Pure Gold were the best representation of that," he comments.

The two singles can be listened to below:
