Warped Tour 2016

With Vans Warped Tour 2015 coming to a close just over a week ago, announcements about the 2016 tour are already underway. Last week, Kevin Lyman revealed that he was considering implementing some new rules concerning age limits in an interview with the Stranger.  There was some confusion as to whether or not Lyman meant that age restrictions would be implemented for attendees as well as for bands and crew.  He addressed the issue on his Twitter account stating that he had been misquoted and was only considering an age restriction (21+) for bands and crew.

The timeline for the 2016 tour was also announced. Dates and locations will be unveiled in December and band announcements will commence in March. With Lyman constantly evaluating and innovating, it will be interesting to see if the comedy tent becomes a fixture of the tour, like the Acoustic Basement tent, or if was a one time experiment.

The survey link to suggest bands for next year's line up was released today. The link will no doubt make its way across all social media platforms in the coming weeks as fans promote their favorite bands and bands share the link in hopes of being invited to join the tour next year. Vote for the bands you'd like to see here.
