We Too, Will Fade showcases a rich and melodic brand of post-hardcore, splashed with notes of emo and post-rock.
Please list all of your band members and their roles in the band.

For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to We Too, Will Fade? How long has the band been around?
Being in the scene for several years now, all of us have had experiences with past bands and various genres ranging from punk to progressive metalcore to stoner rock and even to dark pop. We even got to know Oli through playing together with his band “Tired Eyes” several times in 2019. As of We Too, Will Fade, we have been around since 2018 as a quartet and after several changes in the line-up, the current constellation is strong since March 2020.
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
The name itself is essentially a message derived from at first sight obvious, but still excruciating feeling of internalizing that one day we too, will fade.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
Each piece to the most degree is a mutual collaboration of four creatives. Both lyrically and musically we try to cope with personal experiences, explore our individual growth and in some cases switch the perspective externally to respond to the current social climate.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
I think over the last several years the definition of being inspired from other music changed for me from more conventional, heavy-music-inspiring-heavier-music idea to being inspired by alternative, non-Hardcore artists such as Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Copeland.
The inspiration derived from such artists is more on the mood, vibe level which we then later try to transpose in our own way. Besides this one approach however, bands such a Gatherers, Touche Amore, Defeater, Gleemer and even our local friends, Oakhands, have played a tremendous role in our musical development.
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
Coming from Georgia, the country, which is hardly on the touring map of any artists in a Hardcore scene, I used to sit for hours on YouTube discovering and watching the live performances of my favourite bands. But the one discovery that really hit me and set my mind to this music and this band was a live footage of La Dispute performing “The Last Lost Continent”.
It was a low quality video with the band tucked in one corner of what seemed to be a garage and the space being full of sweaty, red cheeked people and once all of them recited the first several lines “I felt your sickness, brush against my arm…” in a perfect unison, I knew where I belonged.
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, etc …
Shows? What are those?
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
I think rather than one specific event, I would consider the highlight of the band to have built up connections and a community which has accepted us in almost all cities across Germany and past its borders. It is a special highlight feeling when people who you have never met before put their trust in you during that 45 minutes of live performance and give in to experience what you are burning to express.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
I believe none of us would decline to tour with any of the big Post-Hardcore or Hardcore acts such as La Dispute, Defeater, Touche Amore, Boston Manor to name a few. But I personally would die to tour with Phoebe Bridgers, even just for all the shenanigans that would be going on and off stage.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Be kind, love yourself and love each other because everything, everything everything falls apart as it should.
