LA’s Them Guns are trying to shine a light on our darkness. “Fireworks” is all about wrong choices, and the hope that your last one was your last one ever. They stalk grimy, neglected back alleys, whipping spark-throwing chains that brilliantly, but only briefly, illuminate the shadows. Graffiti and busted concrete litter the bleak landscape.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
There is a movie from the 50's called "The Guns of Navarone". With Navarone as the front man, it only made sense.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
Navarone and Kyle usually come up with the main idea or concept of the song.. usually kyle does the music and Navarone does the Lyrics.. then Chuck and Lorenzo add their parts.. theres no real strict format..
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
We have such a wide spectrum that we all enjoy.. from The 1975, to Paramore, to Korn, to The Chemical Brothers.. to The Grateful Dead We try to keep our style open to anything
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
For Nav it was Korn
For Kyle it was the experience of being a sound man, seeing bands play every night.. Queens of the Stone Age in particular
For Chuck it was the Chili Peppers
For Lorenzo it was Slipknot
What do you do to prepare for a show?
We try to do as much preparation during sound check and spend a little time maybe 15 minutes before warming up.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
Probably playing on Shiprocker in 2016.. which we are suppose to be playing again next year (2020) we had a lot of fun and got to perform to a lot of new people.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
I think it would be great to tour with Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers, Muse, or Deadsy
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I just want to get people excited about coming to see us live because that is when we really get into it the best, and its great when the crowd knows the songs
