Please list all of your band members and their roles in the band.
Daniel Louis - Singer
Vlad Tipicidi - Guitar
Michael Feliciano - Bass
Will Ford - Drums
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
We never changed the name. Vlad Tipicidi came out with a name "Radiate" when Mikey completed the band and started play bass in Radiate . We all liked it. Radiate is a very powerful word, we believe our music, lyrics and live performances radiate a positive energy - firstly for all of us and to all who listen to our music. It gives so much inspiration and faith to continue what we are doing as well as help to be honest during the process of creation. Of course it's our dream for our music to inspire more people and help them in any different type of life situations they may be experiencing or to inspire their personal creation processes.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
Lyrically, Danny writes everything. Instrumentally everyone comes up with their own music and brings it to the table for collaboration once a core idea is formed. I guess one theme that is consistent is relationships, and the range of emotions in them. All of us are huge fans of concept albums, so who knows.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
We all listen to a lot of music and it's pretty hard to mention just some of bands that we all like. Our EP "Human" was recorded and produced by Kris Crummett, we definitely all big fans of bands Kris Crummett work with such as Dance Gavin Dance, Issues, Closure in Moscow, and talking about that record we can mention them for sure.
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
Vlad: For me it were hard rock bands from 70's like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.
Will: lots of melodic stuff like animals as leaders, SG Lewis, JMSN, Dance Gavin Dance .
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect.
Will: I personally just warm up by padding out and relaxing before a show, when playing a set I give my all so all the energy I have, so I try to just relax and separate myself from everybody before a set .
Usually I just double check if my equipment is ready for the show: batteries, strings, pedals , like if something goes wrong I always have everything to fix it.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
We all think it was our 10 days in Portland , when we recorded EP “Human” at Kris Crummett's studio, such a great experience.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Dance Gavin Dance, The Used, Sleeping with Sirens, Issues, Alazka, Don Broco. Because it will be a double pleasure to play a show and get a free ticket to see our favorite bands playing.
Plans for the future?
Right now, we are working on our first full length album, creating new demos and really getting to know each other's creative processes, our EP was sort of rushed so we are very excited to start this process as one and show the world our next level, we feel we're just scratching the surface with our potential.
