Mat Morin - Producer, Guitarist

Aviv Marotz - Drums

Joe Campbell - Bass

For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Transit? How long has the band been around?

Joe Boynton

Breaking Waves - 1 year

Transit - 10 years

Long Lost - 3 years

Mat Morin

Aviator - 8 years

Long Lost - 3 years

Pretty/Normal - 2 years + present

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

The original name was going to be:

Closed Circuit Television.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Joe - Mat works on the music, I work on the lyrics and melodies. The topics are whatever I am feeling at the time we are writing, the topics will change over time, I do not want to give away song-meanings, that takes away from the magic of what a song could mean to the listener.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

Joe- Listening to lately: Aesop Rock, The Hot At Nights, The Flaming Lips, Pig Destroyer.

Mat - Daughter, Drab Majesty, Prince, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, The XX.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

Joe: Our New Year (Gloucester, Massachusetts)

Mat: Have Heart/Polar Bear Club (Haverhill, Massachusetts)

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

Joe - I drink a gallon of water, and practice a song or two.

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

Joe - we are a brand new band, so that would be releasing our first song “the ones who fell through” on March 12 we got a lot of incredible feedback from listeners.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Mat - I would dream to travel back to the 80s and open for any act such as The Cure, The Police, Prince, Phil Collins, and David Bowie. All are the foundation to what inspired me to become a musician/artist.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Joe - Thank you for supporting my previous band: Transit, we were a band for 10 years, our listeners are a truly incredible group of people, Thank you for the continued love and support that has forever changed my life for the better thank you for reading this, please stay safe during this pandemic.
