For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Monster House? How long has the band been around?
None of us really played in an an actual band before Monster House besides Ethan, who was part of The Enjoyers before it broke up.
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
"How about Monster House?" . . . "That's kinda sick"
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
We don't really have set roles in the band. If someone has an idea we tend to just run with it to see where it goes.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
The Cure, Black Sabbath, Microwave, MGMT, Stevie Wonder. We kind of try dabbling in all of the genres we fuck with.
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
I don't know man, have you ever been to Florida?
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …
Before performing we drink tea and do vocal warm ups as a group. Pretty rad.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
We just released our first single to all streaming services, Migraine by Monster House. That was a big milestone for us but there's so much more coming we can hardly wait.

The Doors, they didn't have a basis - Hunter
