For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Kid Bloom?
All of us have been in other bands, not reputable enough to mention with names not cool enough to mention.
How long has the band been around?
Kid Bloom originated in 2015. Members have come and gone, but now we are more solid than ever.
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
We wanted a name that was quick and easy to say. There was a toss-up between two different names so we just decided to combine the two.
Who writes your songs?
Lennon wrote the majority of the upcoming EP but our next record will be a family affair.
What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
Girls, girl, and girls. We are very progressive. The topics over time will change from girls to women.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
Post Animal, Michael Jackson, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Travis Scott are our inspirations at the moment!
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
No, all of us just love music and have found that we can’t do anything else.
What do you do to prepare for a show?
Before a show we usually run vocal rehearsals, sound-check, and most importantly make sure we get plenty of fluids, rest, etc.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
We recently shot our first music video which was exciting and new for us. You will have to stay tuned for its upcoming release!
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Tame Impala because they’re simply our favorite.
