For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Hogan’s Goat? How long has the band been around?
We come from all over and different backgrounds.. some bands include: Realeyes, Seryn, Jack Of The Ville, From Womb To Tomb, Thomas Banks and the Get Back Boys. We’ve been round yonder for about 3 years.
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
Hogan’s Goat is old folklore. We thought it was a good representation of our overall attitude.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
We write collectively, and I think that’s what gives us a bit of an edge. Themes can come from anywhere dependent upon the mood of the song. Love, hate, suicide, addiction etc.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
Anyone from Mozart to Cannibal Corpse.
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
Not the formation of Hogan’s Goat, no.
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …
Just the standard band stuff, dude. 5 Mountain Dews and a can of whoop-ass.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
Just traveling together in general, and playing shows.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Anything from Judas Priest to Brooks N’ Dunn!!!!
