Jasen Moreno (all vocals), Billy Grey (all guitars, bass, looping, and backup vocals) and Dusty Winterrowd (all drums and back up vocals).
For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to CyberStar? How long has the band been around?
Jasen Moreno (Drowning Pool), Billy Grey (Fozzy), and Dusty Winterrowd (Allele).
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
The name CyberStar came from the fact that we wrote and recorded via the internet
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
We all have input in writing. We are a BAND. I, Billy, will throw musical ideas along with Dusty, then Jasen throws lyrics and melody.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
For myself, Billy, anything from the riffs of Van Halen, the grooves of hip hop and funk, the pop and heavy hooks of Linkin Park, The metal and diversity of A7X, and the freshness of Bring me the Horizon.
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
KISS, Van Halen, Pantera, Stuck Mojo, Rage Against The Machine
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …
Warm up the hands and fingers, as well as lots of stretching.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
Getting this first bit of music out.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Anyone who will take us out and put us in front of big crowds whether in clubs, theatres, or arenas.
