For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Autonomous? How long has the band been around?
All separate projects. Justin is still in the band "No Self" As well as myself(James) and Alex in our own hip hop group the name not released yet but made.
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
Autonomous: self-governing; independent; subject to its own laws only.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
Alex and myself write the lyrics but we decide together what makes it to song form. Our songs generally are about the renegade aspect of every human alive. We have a moral obligation to stand up for whats right. We try to project that message thru music. It can always change tho from song to song. Our songs can become anything we want them to be from fast to slow, or simple to complicated.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
Always had an urge to be in the music industry.
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …
No shows preformed yet as Autonomous. All have preformed in other bands.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
The fact we all joined together and came up with such an amazing track still blows me away. Working none stop on new tracks.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Rage against the Machine in my opinion. They are right along the lines of what we stand for.If not, then Fort Minor or Linkin park, Amazing artists everyone has heard a song at some point in time.
