I am ALEZZANDRA and I'm an artist/writer.
For starters, what did you do before this project? How long have you been active?
Ive always been working on my self & trying to find myself as an artist, but I would say I started intensively 3,5 years ago when I decided to move to LA.
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the project’s name before?
'vebeen playing around with different names since I remember but never felt connected to names that wasn't my own.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
Ive always been writing my own songs, but my latest single "Bad girl in heaven, good girl in hell" was a co write with my friend Denis Serifovic.
I love to collaborate with other artist, something I will definitely do more from this point on.
My songs are often very dark. I love to play with heavy sounds but still make it powerful. Ive always been telling the truth about myself, my songs and stories are things I have experienced or felt. I love to give a lot of myself to the listener, expose my deepest secrets and darkest fantasies through provocative images & lyrics.
So far I havent changed the way I write and what I write about, but you never know, everything is possible.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
My biggest inspirations are David lynch, portishead, Banks.
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a project?
I was inspired by what music did to me and how it made me feel.
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, etc …
I usually go through my set a couple of times so I lock it in 100% and then I just try to relaxed and center myself.
What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?
I was asked to do a concert in Italy 3 years ago and I flied out there and the night was fully dedicated to me and my band. I felt so special, a moment ill never forget.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
There is a lot of great musicians I look up to that I would love to tour with but if I have to choose I would say Portishead and Banks.
