On this day, November 6th, in 2001 American pop singer Britney Spears released her third studio album ‘Britney’ via Jive Records. Attempting to create a more mature sound from her previous records, Spears experimented with different styles of genres. Along with working in the direction of a new sound, Spears herself took on a more of a role in the development of the LP itself. ‘Britney’ produced singles such as ‘I’m a Slave 4’, ‘Overprotected, and even ‘Boys’.
