This Day In Music History: November 26th

On this day, November 26th, in 1976 English punk band The Sex Pistols released their debut single ‘Anarchy in the U.K’. One of their most famous tracks, ‘Anarchy in the U.K’ would go on to be featured on their album ‘Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols’ via Virgin Records. The track itself would reach number 36 on the ‘UK Singles Chart’ and would quickly blaze a trail for the band. 41 years later, ‘Anarchy in the U.K’ has still been added to numerous high honor lists including Rolling Stone’s ‘500 Greatest Songs of All Time’ and the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame’s ‘500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll’. Listen to the track below!
