This Day In Music History: December 9th 

On this day, December 9th, in 1973 the world famous ‘CBGB Club’ opened in the lower east side of New York City. While initially opening to cater to numerous genres, the club would leave it leaves a mark on the uprising of the punk community. ‘CBGB’ would play a pivotal role in the coming about of bands such as ‘the Ramones’ and ‘Blondie’.
