This Day In Music History: December 5th

On this day, December 5th, in 1973 band Paul McCartney and Wings released their third studio album ‘Band on the Run’ via Apple Records. The album marked Paul McCartney’s fifth piece of work since his departure from The Beatles. ‘Band on the Run’ would go on to (and still remains) McCartney’s most successful post-Beatles work. The record would go on to spawn two singles ‘Jeff’ and ‘Band on the Run’ and even hit number 75 on Q Magazine’s ‘100 Greatest British Albums Ever’. Listen below.
