This Day In Music History: August 12th

On this day, August 12th, in 1991 American heavy metal band Metallica released their fifth studio album. Although the album is self titled, it is commonly known as ‘The Black Album’. Released via Elektra Records the album quickly became known as the band's best selling album. This album contains hit singles such as “Enter Sandman”, “Don’t Tread on Me”, and “Nothing Else Matters”.
