The Daily Complaint: Phone Use During A Concert

First off, I would like to clarify that I am not speaking in regards to taking photos or videos of a band's set. What I am speaking about is attendees completely ignoring the performer on stage, just to look at their phone to text or use social media. It's completely disrespectful to the performer, so why do it? If some text message is so important that you have to answer it right then and there ( emergencies aside), then why are you at the show? Respect the artist and use the ticket you bought in it's fullest and put away your phone.
