Show Review: Andrew WK (Pittsburgh, PA)

Andrew WK has been partying hard for over 15 years now and every one knows who he is. His hit, "Party Hard" is how most know him and he is known for doing the same. And let me just tell you: When Andrew WK parties, it's going to be a sweatfest wherever he plays. Let's get into how the show was and see just how crazy an intimate show with WK can get.

For starters, the show I went to was limited to about 100 fans. This show was sponsored by a great promotions company called Steel Bridge Promotions. For the price of $20, you got into the show and got free pizza. It was a great promotion and amazing to see Andrew WK in a tiny 100 person venue. There were 2 openers to the 2nd night. The openers were both Pittsburgh local: Bat Zuppel and No Time. They both put on very energetic sets, but nothing could compare to what lay ahead of the night.

The lights went down around 9 and Andrew WK's intro started. The chant of "Party" started and every one joined in until Andrew WK stormed the small stage. Immediately, he went to his keyboard and most of the crowd gathered around him. Andrew WK played for about an hour and blasted through many of his hits like "I Get Wet", "Party Party Party" and a rendition of "I Love New York City" (Dubbed "I Love Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania"). There aren't many words to say about his performance other than calling it "Sweatfest 2015". As seen in the picture below, it got pretty crazy on the tiny stage with Andrew WK. I'm giving this performance a 10 out 10 for bringing a once-in-a-lifetime experience to such a small venue. If you ever have the chance to party with Andrew WK, take the chance, because it may just lead to the best party of your life.
