Los Angeles’ SHINY TOY GUNS are gearing up for the next offering from their upcoming album III due out October 22. “Fading Listening” is released today, Tuesday, August 28 on Five Seven Music. The band is also announcing details regarding a select run of major market headlining dates starting October 22 on the release of III.
Already supported by Los Angeles tastemaker station KCRW, “Fading Listening” reveals a different side of SHINY TOY GUNS. Known for their electro-rock burners like “Le Disko,” “You Are The One” and most recently “Waiting Alone,” SHINY TOY GUNS take a vibe turn on “Fading Listening.” The band’s Carah Faye and Chad Petree share vocal duties this soft, moving track. Wrote Mickey Woods on Glamour.com (8/17/12), “…the Los Angeles-based quartet is back in action with the super-dreamy ‘Fading Listening,’ from their upcoming album III. It has some groovy arpeggio-and-padded lines that call to mind Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams.’ I’m also a huge fan of boy-girl harmony, which this track has in spades.” Look for a remix from DJ/producer Treasure Fingers to be available soon.
