Road Trip Songs To Add To Your Playlist

Spring officially started yesterday. As the weather warms, I basically have two words on my mind: road trip.

There's nothing like the feeling of rolling the windows down, feeling the warm breeze as you grip the steering wheel and press on the gas pedal. I'm a major victim of wanderlust. I've driven from Indiana to Los Angeles and back twice, to New York City, Virginia Beach, Chicago, Cincinnati, etc... and most of the time, I was driving by myself. What really helped me get along was a fantastic playlist. A 2012 study done in the Netherlands showed that music helps increase driver's performance and their ability to drive for longer periods of time (the full study can be purchased and read HERE). However, what one driver may find mentally stimulating may not be the same for another driver, so I asked the rest of the staff what would be on their playlist. I also included several songs that helped me drive all across the USA. So whether you prefer hard hitting songs you can rock out to with your friends, songs literally about driving, songs that give a cinematic feel, and everything in between, we may have some suggestions to add to your road trip playlist.
