Review: Secret Band - Secret Band

The Black Swan Records band, Secret Band recently released their debut full length album entitled “S/T” back in July of 2014. The hard hitting 5 piece post hardcore band brings their own sound to the table, without a doubt. The 10 track album also comes with an 8 page booklet of lyrics along with paintings by Jon Mess, who is 1/5 of Secret Band.

The DGD members do not let us down with technical riffs and dirty tones that get your blood flowing. One can definitely hear the growth in this style of music compared to their first EP. The production work is no surprise considering the contacts that the guys have. However, I do enjoy how they kept things very raw. My personal favorite track is “Delete The Believer”, but I can see how this album has something for every rock junkie out there.

I would definitely suggest picking up “S/T” and truly think the paintings that come with the album are worth the 10 dollars alone. A great add for anyone’s “Get Psyched” mix, this album is earning a solid 7.5/10 stars from me.
