Review: Foo Fighters - Sonic Highways

20 Years Strong, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters have recently released their 8th Studio album: Sonic Highways.

Sonic Highways is a new approach on a familiar sound for the Foo Fighters. This unusually short album boasts much of the same vibrations that have become a staple on most radio stations and playlists around the globe but with a new twist.

With all tracks being inspired and recorded in a different iconic state within the United States of America, whilst also being accompanied by an 8 part HBO special with the same name, Sonic Highways delivers the poppy, hard rock everyone has come to love about the Foo Fighters.

That being said, it's hard to differentiate it as being 8 unique songs but just another solid Foo Fighters album. If you're a fan of Grohl's roars and thrashing accompanied by Hawkin's crisp beats PLUS the other parts of the band that make up the rest of the Foo Fighters, you will enjoy this album.

8/10
