Rare Futures Reveal New Song "This Is Your Future" (ft. Matt Rubano)

The radically innovative Rare Futures are gearing up to revitalize today's music scene. The experimental indie rock outfit fronted by multi-instrumentalist Matt Fazzi (ex Taking Back Sunday, Atlas Genius) is set to unleash their long-awaited album on March 25, but not without revealing something new for their loyal fans.

At the time when I wrote "This Is Your Future," I was dealing with starting over and finding my identity again as a musician and I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay on the same path or say goodbye to my passion to find a new direction because my previous experiences had been so taxing," explains Fazzi. "I needed something to lift me up and shake off the negative energy that I was carrying, and the mantra that kept coming back to me was, "this is your future, don't just throw it all away" which I then built the rest of the song around. The message when I listen back to the song is simple: YOU are the keeper and controller of your own destiny, nobody is responsible for your happiness but you."
