Premiere: Whimsical - Earth Angel

Whimsical is made up of Krissy Vanderwoude, vocals/melodies/lyrics and Neil Burkdoll, guitar/music. With one in Indiana and the other in Florida, the pair has found a way to make it work even though they can never be in the same room at the same time. Today, we’re premiering their new song, “Earth Angel.” Pre-orders for their new album are available at Qrates and Bancamp.

Krissy Vandewoude, who as lead vocalist, writes all the lyrics and melodies for Whimsical, shares what her inspiration was for this happy, uplifting song.

“We all have someone in our lives who is our anchor, our light in the dark or calm in the storm. The person who feels like your safe place when everything is falling apart,” she says.

“When I have had sad, scary or uncertain times, it has been such a comfort to have someone I could trust, who was always there unconditionally for me. I envisioned their ‘angel wings’ being wrapped around me in a protective hug, and it was that visual which inspired the lyrics.”
