Premiere: High - "Mayday"

High is four guys in Toronto that love rock music but love other types of music too and are too ADD to pick one so they fuck with all and are having a lot of fun doing it so they think they’ll go ahead and keep doing that shit. Today, we’re premiering their new song, “Mayday.” Listen below!

Quote from Richard Howard:

“Mayday is about the feelings of isolation and helplessness experienced by people suffering from depression, anxiety and other mental illnesses. For a lot of us, those feelings are more present right now than ever. It’s imperative to get support and treatment – but sometimes, it’s just really important to hear that what you’re feeling is real and that others are experiencing it as well.

I’ve struggled with depression for pretty much my entire adolescent and adult life. My practice of putting on the fun hat and self-medicating ultimately didn’t help. Talking has. By talking about it through the music, hopefully it helps make it easier for anyone listening to do the same.”
