Point North Returns With Sophomore Record, "Prepare For Despair" + New Single, "Below The Belt

The highly-anticipated sophomore record from Point North is here. A heavier, amped up version of what fans may be used to - Prepare For Despair doesn’t shy away from embracing its darker moments, apocalyptic madness, and a bit of twisted chaos. After releasing fan-favorite singles like “Safe and Sound” (FT. The Ghost Inside) and “Psycho,” Point North are delivering 11 anthemic tracks with their sophomore release. “We’ve always been an ever-changing band,” vocalist Jon Lundin shares. “Every release holds its own spot in our discography. Lately, I’ve produced a lot of heavy records. We grew up on Killswitch Engage and Underoath, and we’ve toured with a lot of heavy bands and have seen what works for us live. We wanted that energy.”

The band is riding high after seeing “Safe and Sound” propel to #22 on the active rock charts, and the sky’s the limit for this trio as they carve out a permanent place in the modern rock scene.

“Art mirrors the moment,” vocalist Jon Lundin states. “There’s a ton of despair right now and everyone is questioning everything. People are sad and angry. The album’s a reflection of how I’m feeling, how the band is feeling, and probably what most of the world is feeling too. So, we’re basically saying, ‘Buckle up’.”
