On This Day In Music History: May 25th

On this day, May 25th, in 1983 American heavy metal band Dio released their debut album Holy Diver. Dubbed Dio's "Best work" and a "Classic staple in the heavy metal genre" this album would certify Gold in the US a year later. Holy Diver would later certify Platinum in 1989. This album had hits such as "Holy Diver", "Children of the Sea", and "Rainbow in the Dark".
