On this day, April 28th, in 1999 American rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Arising during the heartland rock movement, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are known for tracks such as "American Girl", "Learning To Fly" and "Refugee".
