Summer is quickly approaching and that means that artists are releasing new albums and music now that are contenders for THE hit summer jam. May is just about half over and already so much absolutely soul-crushingly good music has been released. Check out the list of albums/singles released below and see what tunes you will want to download ASAP!
1. Paramore- After Laughter
This marks Paramore's fifth studio full-length and it sets a whole new tone for the band. Punk favorites in our youth, Paramore have now transcending into the pop world and they have set it ablaze. Every song on this album has an emotional pull and will leave you singing along to them all day.
2. Gideon- Cold
Gideon's fourth full-length album, Cold, packs a solid throat punch. The album features the anger and heavy hitting instrumentals you know and love from Gideon but with a much more precise and powerful delivery. Cold also features bad ass guest vocals from members of Knocked Loose and Hatebreed. Heavy fans will definitely need to give this album a full listen.
3. Harry Styles- Harry Styles
Harry Styles' self-titled debut album has undoubtedly thrown the world into a tizzy and knocked them on their head. Why you ask? This album is perfection, that's why! Every song is full of intention and passion and you could easily listen through the whole album five times in a row without ever growing tired of any song. If you haven't already, you need to listen through and watch one of the most successful transitions into a solo artist.
4. Hundredth- "Neurotic"
This is a hot new song from Hundredth off of their upcoming album Rare, set to release June 16th. This song marks a change in sound for Hundredth, but I think this is a successful maturation for this band. Think less heavy and a bit more trance-y. 5. Tigers Jaw- "Guardian"
Tigers Jaw recently released the video for "Guardian" off of their upcoming album spin. Spin is set to release in two days via Black Cement Records. This song showcases what Tigers Jaw is doing now that there are only two members in the band. "Guardian" leaves us craving more from Tigers Jaw and spin seems like it will promisingly deliver the sounds we know and love.
